Launch My Career TX provides the average return on investment (ROI) for different college certificate and degree programs compared to earnings for those without a college credential or degree. The ROI allows you to see just how much continued education after high school might pay off.

Launch My Career TX has four options on its homepage by which you can learn about health care careers. The site is designed to help you search by major, job, school or endorsement. Unlike UpSkill Houston, Launch My Career TX does not group jobs within industries.

You can search for that occupation on the homepage, and then you can explore on the left-hand side of the page, the skills the job requires and the top majors people earn to gain employment as dental hygienists. 

Find the majors that lead to the job you want
Rather than look through a list of all program offerings, Launch My Career TX narrows your search for a major to only those that would lead you to the education you need to be a dental hygienist.

Test the fit of a major and a school
Once you pick a major, Launch My Career TX generates a list of colleges that offer that course of study. After selecting a college, you can then compare similar majors offered by that college to see the costs and payoff, or you can compare the differences among multiple schools. This function is particularly useful when deciding among schools. Launch My Career TX gives you the breakeven point, or the point where you earn enough to off-set the costs of your education. You can also see how long it typically takes students to complete that program, and you can learn how much time it would take for you to “launch” your career, or how long it would take for you to achieve the lifestyle you seek.
