For Houston’s regional economy to prosper and grow, we must develop a robust pipeline of talent with skills for the advanced technical and craft professions our industries demand.

Unfortunately, awareness is low for these careers, and perceptions vary by stakeholder group, largely because our society has long promoted four-year college degrees as the only path to career success.

One of the best ways to inspire students to consider these careers is through real-life stories about young people with similar backgrounds. Inspiring stories can raise awareness, change perceptions, and build the skilled talent pipeline to keep our regional economy competitive.
