Computer Numerically Controlled Machine Tool Programmer is a mouthful, but the job can be boiled down to this: developing programs to control automated factory machinery. Specifically, CNC machines control the cutting tool speed and do all necessary cuts to create a part. The skills required for this position are highly valuable in an evolving world and an evolving manufacturing sector. As technology develops at a rapid rate and manufacturers begin to incorporate more automation, CNC programmers will become increasingly valuable employees because they understand how to oversee, repair, and program automated factory technology. Even machines that operate independently require human oversight.
Are you good with computers and enjoy working with technology? Precision and high attention to detail will also be essential in this role.
