A general mechanical knowledge is needed in this industry, and you should be familiar with your company’s tools and machines. Since a large portion of your time will be spent of repairs and maintenance, you should have good arm-hand steadiness as well as the ability to see objects at close range. You will need to utilize your critical thinking skills regularly because you will be expected to find alternative solutions to any problems that arise.
